Concept car to showcase the capabilities
of Shook Design. It has a custom built
chassis and suspension and a Toyota MR2
engine.

Concept Car Client: Shook Design
Description:
A
fabric bodied car. This concept was
presented to Mitsubishi in June 2008.
The fabric covering would save weight,
improve damage resistance and repair.
There would be large space between the fabric and the
structural frame creating a permanent
perimeter airbag.Three months after
Shook Design released this concept,
BMW also presented their design for a
fabric covered car.
Zebra Client: Zebra Motors
Description:
Jim Shook was a founder and Director of Engineering and Design for this electric car company that was ahead of it's time. This car had an aluminum chassis and fiberglass body.
Formula 1 Side Car Racing Body Client: Anvil Racing Team
Description:
Shook Design completed the design,
modeling and building of this fiberglass
body for the highest level of
motorcycle/side car racing in the U.S.
We later sponsored this race team as it
competed across the country.
Concept Car Client: General Motors

Concept Bike Client: San Jose BMW
Description: On this project we designed and built a
radical “street fighter” body for the
owner of the San Jose BMW dealership.
This project included the manufacture of
complex body parts including a
functional gas tank.
Sand Rail Body Client: Sand Candy Motorsports
Description: Shook design designed and built limited
production composite body parts for
Sand Candy's 500 HP 4 passenger sand
rail.
Electric Powered Scooter with quick-
change batteries Client: PET (Personal Electric Transport)
Description: We contributed to the design of this
two passenger electric scooter which
won the Tour De Sol. Specifically, we
developed a “hot plug-able” quick
change battery system and re-designed
the body for more storage (including
helmet storage).
Corrado GT3 Race Car Body Client: Eurospec
Description: On this project we designed, modeled
and molded body panels for this GT3
race car. The result was less weight and
improved aerodynamics.
Land speed record cars and
motorcycles Client: Jack Costella
Description: Over the past 25 years, Jim Shook has
helped Jack Costella design and build
many record breaking land speed record
cars and motorcycles (over 40 records
broken). The car above holds many
records and is the worlds fastest 4
cylinder car.
Outboard Motor Cover Client: Rodler Engineering Description: This outboard motor cover was designed for
the U.S. navy Seals. The size and form
allows it to be shot out of a submarine
torpedo tube under water while attached to
an inflatable boat. The motor is extremely
quiet with enhanced jet-boat technology
that allows function in 2" deep water.
Show Bike Client: Shook Design
Description: Shook Design created a "show bike" by making a new body for a 1980 Yamaha XS 850.
